What is hypnosis and how does it work?

Hypnosis is a fantastic therapeutic tool that allows you to enter a unique state of consciousness to explore your inner resources. Imagine a magical lamp. Inside this lamp, there is a genie you want to set free. In its world, time knows no bounds, and everything is possible. To make your wishes come true, you must express them clearly and positively. I'm here to guide you on this journey, but it's you and your inner genie working hand in hand.

We discuss what you need, and then you gently immerse yourself in the genie's world, as if you were diving into a movie, a book, or a dream. You let go of everything and have fun exploring. Through stories and metaphors, I accompany you until you reach your inner genie. Each journey is unique; some people visualize, others feel, listen, or simply imagine. Everything is allowed, there are no limits. Generally, you remember the experience because you always remain conscious and in control. The more you allow yourself to be carried away by the experience, the deeper the transformations you can experience.

How many hypnotherapy sessions?

The number of therapeutic sessions depends on your personal needs and goals, the receptivity of your subconscious, and the root of the issue. 2-3 sessions may be enough, but it can also take 5 or more. Initially, they are closer together, then spaced out as you progress. Referring back to the metaphor from the "how does it work" question, your inner genie (subconscious) must actively engage to make the repairs. The process can be smooth or challenging, fast or gradual, but the key is building a solid foundation to reach your goals. Remember, changes don’t happen by rubbing a magic lamp or snapping your fingers!

For relaxation sessions, the genie enjoys time to regenerate, whether through a single session or regular meetings. It’s like a massage for the mind!

How long are hypnosis sessions?

Each session requires time to clearly define your goals (wishes), explore your inner world, and gently return to reality. Generally, a session lasts between one and one and a half hours depending on the type of service you select. The first session may be slightly longer, depending on what we need to prepare.

Am I a good candidate for hypnosis?

Can you imagine a genie? What does (s)he look like? Where is (s)he located? Does (s)he have a name? What does his/her universe look like? Are there trees, houses, the sea, mountains? How does (s)he feel? Is (s)he happy, sad, playful? Does (s)he have superpowers? Are there surrounding sounds? Scents? Other details? If you can answer these questions, it's highly likely that you can dive into his/her world to live your adventures!

Where does the hypnosis session take place?

In the comfort of your own home! Hypnosis only requires your subconscious and my voice. You generally don't need to see me, as your eyes will be closed most of the time. The session can therefore be practiced online and are as effective as in-person ones. Rest assured; I will keep an eye on you to ensure that everything is going as planned. We will meet via Microsoft Teams. I will send you a link for easy access to the session.

In person sessions are available on Tuesday evenings or Friday mornings in Laval.

Do you emit insurance receipts?

Yes! I am a member of the National Association of Naturopaths (NAN). Naturopathy receipts are available upon request.
